Position Summary
TenCate is seeking an IT Project Coordinator to support the delivery of IT and business transformation projects across the organization. This is a fully remote, U.S.-based role, with the potential for limited travel as needed. While this position is remote, TenCate’s corporate headquarters is located in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
This role will work closely with project managers, IT consultants, internal stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to coordinate project activities, maintain documentation, track project progress, and help ensure successful project execution.
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their project management career who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a developing IT PMO function. The IT Project Coordinator will also support smaller project engagements and contribute to the continued development of PMO standards, templates, and best practices across TenCate.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of IT projects and business transformation initiatives.
- Coordinate project schedules, tasks, timelines, deliverables, and follow-ups across multiple teams.
- Assist with tracking project milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and action items.
- Facilitate communication and alignment between project teams, internal stakeholders, vendors, and external partners.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, logs, meeting notes, status reports, and related materials.
- Assist project managers with preparing reports, presentations, and project updates for stakeholders.
- Support the coordination of smaller project engagements under the guidance of IT project managers and PMO leadership.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of PMO standards, templates, processes, and best practices.
- Help identify opportunities for process improvement and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay informed on project management tools, methodologies, and trends relevant to IT project delivery.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in project coordination, project administration, project management support, or a related role.
- Exposure to IT projects, business applications, business transformation, or enterprise systems preferred.
- Familiarity with project management tools required; experience with Azure DevOps is preferred.
- Basic understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
- Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, vendors, and external partners.
- Exposure to enterprise business applications such as Microsoft Business Central, Salesforce, Power BI, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Exposure to business consulting, change management, IT governance, or process improvement practices is beneficial.
