Position Summary: Develops and manages a high-reliability, high-uptime capability for the mission-critical computerized manufacturing, business, telecommunication, and administrative systems of Magna Seating South Carolina. Leads and develops the IT staff while managing the workload, projects, and infrastructure of the IT requirements of the facility. Ensure the safety of the division and plant environment, its workforce as well as physical and intellectual property.
Position Responsibilities:

Ensure a safe work environment and compliance with all EHS policies and procedures is sustained.

Ensure conformance to IATF 16949 quality management standards is sustained. Maintain process procedures and documentation as applicable. Identify and implement changes to procedures as appropriate.

IT Manager:
-
Support site 24/7.
-
Manage the budgetary(capital and operating) requirements of the Division’s computer systems, with attention to budget planning, adherence to budget projections, procurement, and monthly expenditures.
-
Manage IT Support staff activities ensuring effective utilization of the team.
-
Provide leadership and direction in the development and implementation of company wide information systems.
-
Support mission-critical JIT (Just in Sequence) Manufacturing Execution Systems (SQL Server based).
-
Ensure LAN/WAN systems components are sufficient to ensure capacity for expansion. Quoting, completing capital requests, interfacing with vendors, and any other unspecified duties to that end.
-
Ensure LAN/WAN capabilities are maximized through effective network administration, high levels of systems security, and a timely, reliable, accurate systems recovery program.
-
Facilitate systems training activities of user departments.
-
Coordinate and prioritize the design, development, evaluation, procurement, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of company-wide information systems.
-
Ensure the Division’s adherence to Magna Corporate IT policies as may be published from time to time.
-
Industry 4.0 lead: Collaborating with Magna IT and the Digital Tower team on developing and executing a statewide plan to adopt Industry 4.0 technologies.
-
Lead and/or participate in audits (SOX, TS, ISO).
-
Monitor performance of all employees in the department and initiate accountability when expectations are not met. Provide regular feedback to employees and conduct annual performance reviews.
-
Investigate and find resolution for employee concerns in a timely fashion. Ensure resolution is fair and consistent and complies with Magna Charter & Principles.
-
Champion continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts for the department.
-
Liaise with other departments to identify, analyze and resolve IT related problems.
-
Lead by example with all policies, procedures, Employee Charter, Operational Principals and Corporate Constitution.

Complete all assigned trainings before established deadlines.

Security Information Manager: The following tasks need to be coordinated with the Magna Corporate Security Office as well as the Group Security Manager in charge:
-
Supporting the implementation of location-based security concepts under consideration of by-laws and existing regulations.
-
Continues evaluation of standard-based risks for location-based protection, incl. the rating and implementation of the identified needs under consideration of the economic situation of the respective plant.
-
Providing support for Information Security Audits and Customs Audits.
-
Providing support in the process of establishing location-specific security guidelines and instructions.
-
First to document security incidents at the respective location as well as inform Magna Corporate Security Office and the Group Security Manager in charge.
-
Reporting on an ongoing basis as outlined in the communication matrix to Magna Corporate Security Office.
-
Providing support during the role roll-out the execution of educational and training sessions (i.e. Emergency and Crisis Management).
-
Participation in the Emergency and Crisis Management Program at the respective location /execution Magna Intl. Crisis Management Plan.
-
Preparation and implementation of security measures for events.
-
Assurance of the quality management for security services.
-
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, CIS or related study.
-
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Information.
-
Supervisory and project management experience required.
-
Strong background in Microsoft Systems Administration (AD, DHCP, DNS, Server, Group Policy Management, etc.).
-
Background in VMWare cluster environments and maintenance (ESXi).
-
Strong background in High Availability (servers, networks, clusters and virtualization) environments.
-
Work experience as a database administrator.
-
Strong knowledge of Disaster Recovery procedures and backup systems.
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.

Able to support 24/7 operation.
-
Willing and able to travel.
-
Ability to confront issues and resolve conflict while demonstrating diplomacy and tactfulness and controlling emotions.

Effective at managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines in a fast paced, dynamic, fluid environment. Understands urgency and completes tasks timely, efficiently and accurately. Time management skills are essential.
