Role Purpose

The IT Support staff is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, performance, and security of the organization’s IT system and network infrastructure across offices, showrooms, and warehouse locations. This role provides first-level technical support while also handling network monitoring, device configuration, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maintain business continuity. The position requires close collaboration with internal IT teams, vendors, and ISPs, proactive system maintenance, and timely resolution of incidents in accordance with defined SLAs, within a 24×7 support environment.

Key responsibilities:

Technical Support & End-User Assistance

• Provide first-level technical support to warehouse and office staff for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to systems, printers, computers, POS systems, credit card machines, and mobile devices.
• Respond promptly to service requests and resolve issues within agreed SLAs and timelines.
• Provide end-user training and create basic documentation for common IT issues and procedures.
• Assist in setting up new employee workstations, devices, and access credentials.

Network & Connectivity Management

• Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity using network monitoring tools.
• Configure, monitor, and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
• Support setup, configuration, and maintenance of networking devices including routers, switches, and access points.
• Troubleshoot and resolve internet and network connectivity issues.
• Collaborate with vendors and ISPs to resolve circuit, hardware, and connectivity issues.

Hardware & Software Installation

• Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware and software in showrooms and warehouse locations.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on computer systems, printers, and other IT equipment.
• Monitor and ensure continuous functionality of all IT systems and infrastructure.

Systems Monitoring & Maintenance

• Monitor and ensure continuous functionality of all IT systems and infrastructure.
• Perform regular data backups and ensure compliance with data security and IT policies.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to minimize system downtime.

Data Security & Compliance

• Perform regular data backups.
• Ensure compliance with data security standards and IT policies.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of networking concepts: TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, NAT, DNS, DHCP.
• Strong knowledge of desktop/laptop hardware, printers and peripherals.
• Experience with Windows OS and common business applications.
• Hands-on experience with routers and switches (Cisco, Aruba, EnGenius, or equivalent).
• Ability to troubleshoot issues logically and efficiently.
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and basic network security concepts.
• Wi-Fi troubleshooting and access point configuration experience.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and ticketing tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Willingness to work in rotational 24×7 shifts.
