IT Support Administrator

Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest (LSS-SW) is looking for an IT Support Administrator who thrives in a hands-on role, loves troubleshooting, and wants to make a real impact. You will play a key part in keeping our staff connected and productive, supporting both daily IT needs and broader system operations. In this role, you will supervise one Help Desk Specialist and work closely with our IT vendor to maintain secure and up-to-date systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Keep our staff connected and productive: Troubleshoot and resolve PC, software, and network issues quickly and efficiently, both remotely and on-site.

  • Manage and optimize IT accounts: Set up and maintain user accounts in Active Directory, Intune, Office 365, and Exchange Online, ensuring smooth access for everyone.

  • Champion IT security awareness: Lead phishing simulations and training programs to help staff stay safe and secure online.

  • Support essential systems and tools: Administer Proofpoint email security, Adobe licenses, Verizon portal/MDM, and building access systems, ensuring everything runs seamlessly.

  • Guide and mentor the Help Desk Specialist: Provide hands-on supervision, share best practices, and help develop team skills.

  • Shape IT policies and processes: Assist in creating clear procedures and documentation that make IT support more effective and user-friendly.

  • Orient new employees: Provide IT onboarding and guidance so staff can hit the ground running.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (required)

  • Office 365 certification (required); other IT certs a plus

  • 5+ years of IT support experience

  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

  • Experience supervising or mentoring staff preferred

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

  • Must have Authorized Driver Status and a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card
