IT Support Executive

Job Purpose

To manage, maintain, and support all IT infrastructure, hardware, software, network systems, and data security of YKM Group to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations across all departments including Sales, Estimation, Production, Procurement, Accounts, HR, and Management.

Key Duties & Responsibilities1. Hardware & Infrastructure Management

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, biometric devices, and other IT equipment.
  • Manage office and factory networking systems including LAN, WAN, routers, switches, and Wi-Fi.
  • Ensure uninterrupted internet connectivity for office and factory operations.
  • Maintain shared drives, file servers, and centralized storage systems.
  • Monitor and maintain CCTV systems and access control systems.
  • Maintain and monitor UPS systems related to IT infrastructure.
  • Maintain IT equipment in good working condition and arrange repairs when required.

2. Software & System Support

  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows and other platforms).
  • Install and support business software such as ERP, accounting software, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, HR systems, and estimation tools.
  • Manage company email systems and domain configurations.
  • Ensure timely software updates, patches, and antivirus protection.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software-related technical issues.

3. Network & Security Management

  • Monitor and maintain network security and performance.
  • Implement antivirus, firewall, and cybersecurity measures.
  • Control user access rights and permissions.
  • Ensure company data protection and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Monitor network usage and ensure system efficiency.

4. Data Management & Backup

  • Implement regular data backup procedures (daily, weekly, monthly).
  • Ensure safe storage of company data including project files, BOQs, drawings, financial records, and HR data.
  • Restore data when required.
  • Maintain secure backup systems.

5. User Support & Helpdesk

  • Provide technical support to all departments including Sales, Estimation, Production, Procurement, Accounts, and HR.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
  • Configure systems and email accounts for new employees.
  • Provide basic IT training to staff when required.
  • Maintain IT support records and issue logs.

6. Website, Email & Digital Support

  • Support and coordinate maintenance of company website and hosting.
  • Manage company domain and email systems.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of official email accounts.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for website and server support.

7. IT Asset & Vendor Management

  • Maintain IT asset register including laptops, desktops, printers, and networking equipment.
  • Coordinate with IT vendors for equipment purchase and repairs.
  • Assist procurement department in IT-related purchases.
  • Ensure timely renewal of software licenses and IT subscriptions.

8. Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain records of IT systems, network diagrams, and configurations.
  • Prepare IT reports when required by management.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all IT equipment and systems.
  • Ensure IT systems comply with company policies.

9. Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide IT support for both YKM International LLC and YKM Middle East LLC.
  • Support factory operations and production-related IT systems.
  • Setup and support meeting rooms, video conferencing, and presentation systems.
  • Assist management in implementing new IT systems and improvements.
  • Perform any other IT-related duties assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of IT support experience in UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, networking, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and email systems.
  • Knowledge of LAN, WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi management.
  • Basic knowledge of servers, data backup, and cybersecurity.
  • Experience in installing and supporting business software such as ERP and accounting systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of CCTV systems and access control systems is an advantage.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and provide support to all departments.
  • Must be proactive, reliable, and capable of working under pressure.
