IT Support Officer

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Support Officer to manage and maintain the IT infrastructure and cinema-related systems. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth operation of all technical equipment, including ticketing systems, POS systems, projection systems, network infrastructure, and end-user devices, to support uninterrupted cinema operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for cinema Servers.
• Maintain and troubleshoot POS systems, ticketing systems, kiosks, and online booking integrations.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, routers, switches).
• Monitor and maintain network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls).
• Perform routine system maintenance, updates, backups, and security checks.
• Coordinate with vendors for system upgrades, repairs, and AMC support.
• Ensure minimal downtime during movie screenings and peak operational hours.
• Maintain documentation of IT assets, configurations, and support logs.
• Provide on-site technical support during special events and premieres if required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in IT support (experience in cinema, hospitality, or retail industry preferred).
• Knowledge of digital projection systems and media servers is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Windows OS, basic server management, and backup systems.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL Server, including ability to run queries, extract reports, and assist in data preparation for reporting/BI systems (exposure to SSAS or data cubes is a plus)
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cinema management systems (VISTA ERP) and POS platforms.
• Basic understanding of audio-visual systems.
• IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA) are a plus.
