IT Support Specialist

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled and proactive IT Specialist to manage and support all information technology systems within our furniture and mattress production factory in Sabhan Area. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with ERP systems, particularly Odoo, and will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and security of all IT infrastructure. This role provides technical support to all departments, ensures optimal system performance, and assists in the digital transformation of the factory’s operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain the ERP system (Odoo) to ensure efficient workflow across departments.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for all hardware, software, and network issues within the factory.
• Configure and update user accounts, access rights, and security permissions within Odoo and other systems.
• Collaborate with department heads to identify system requirements and improve process efficiency through automation.
• Perform regular data backups, system updates, and preventive maintenance to ensure data integrity and system reliability.
• Manage and maintain servers, printers, internet connectivity, and local networks (LAN/Wi-Fi).
• Coordinate with ERP vendors or external consultants when system customization or upgrades are required.
• Document IT procedures, system configurations, and user manuals for internal use.
• Ensure cybersecurity measures are in place, including antivirus protection, firewalls, and data protection practices.
• Support production, inventory, and sales teams with system-related queries and training as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of IT experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proven knowledge and practical experience with ERP systems – Odoo experience is mandatory.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Good knowledge of network systems, servers, and data security protocols.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to support non-technical users.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage).

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience in integrating ERP systems with production and inventory modules.
• Familiarity with database management (PostgreSQL preferred for Odoo).
• Strong organizational skills, initiative, and attention to detail.
• Service-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: KD350.000 - KD500.000 per month
