IT Support Specialist

Schedule

  • Full-time position
  • 5–6 working days per week
  • Standard office hours with occasional after-hours support for urgent issues

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to staff (hardware, software, and network issues)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related incidents and service requests
  • Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and peripherals
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and system access
  • Support network connectivity (LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN)
  • Perform system updates, backups, and basic cybersecurity checks
  • Maintain IT documentation, logs, and support tickets
  • Assist with IT infrastructure setup and upgrades

Skills for This Role

  • IT troubleshooting and technical support
  • Hardware and software installation/maintenance
  • Networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN)
  • Helpdesk and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk)
  • Operating systems (Windows, basic Linux or macOS knowledge)
  • Cybersecurity awareness and best practices
  • Problem-solving and diagnostic skills
  • Strong communication and user support skills

Requirements

  • Previous experience in IT support, helpdesk, or a related role preferred
  • Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and IT infrastructure
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple technical issues
  • Customer-focused and patient approach to user support
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a technical environment
