IT Support Specialist

Position Summary

JM Mechanical is seeking a detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to manage and support our growing technology needs. This role is responsible for the setup, maintenance, and tracking of company-issued mobile devices (phones and tablets), as well as supporting employees in the transition and daily use of our ERP system, Acumatica.

This position plays a key role in ensuring our field and office teams stay connected, productive, and fully supported with reliable technology.

Key Responsibilities

Device Management (Phones & Tablets)

  • Set up, configure, and deploy company-issued phones and tablets
  • Maintain accurate inventory of all devices and assigned users
  • Manage device upgrades, replacements, and returns
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on mobile devices
  • Coordinate with carriers and vendors for service and warranty support
  • Ensure devices comply with company security policies

Acumatica Support

  • Assist employees with day-to-day Acumatica questions and troubleshooting
  • Support onboarding and training for new users in Acumatica
  • Help maintain user accounts, permissions, and system access
  • Work with leadership and vendors to improve workflows and system usage
  • Identify and escalate system issues or bugs as needed

General IT Support

  • Provide basic technical support to office and field staff
  • Help troubleshoot connectivity, app, and login issues
  • Document processes and maintain IT support logs
  • Assist with implementing new technology tools as the company grows

Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of mobile device management (MDM preferred but not required)
  • Experience with or willingness to learn ERP systems (Acumatica experience a plus)
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to stay organized while managing multiple devices and requests
  • Comfortable supporting both office and field employees
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently

Preferred Experience

  • Previous IT support or help desk experience
  • Experience supporting construction, service, or field-based teams
  • Familiarity with Acumatica or similar ERP systems
  • Basic networking or troubleshooting knowledge
