JOINERY SUPERVISOR

The Erection Supervisor will be responsible for the safe, timely, and quality execution of all erection works on site. Key duties include:

• Site Management & Supervision:
• Directly supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the erection crew, riggers, fitters and subcontractors to ensure adherence to project schedules and technical specifications.
• Plan, organize and allocate resources (manpower, equipment and materials) efficiently for all erection tasks.
• Ensure all erection activities, including lifting, positioning, bolting and alignment of [mention what you erect, e.g., structural steel members, precast elements, piping systems, heavy machinery], are executed as per approved drawings and method statements.
• Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
• Maintain the highest standards of safety, enforcing all company HSE policies, procedures and local UAE regulations.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks, safety inspections and risk assessments before the start of work.
• Report all incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions promptly and implement corrective actions.
• Quality Control (QC):
• Inspect and verify the quality of materials and erected structures to ensure full compliance with project specifications, quality plans and codes.
• Coordinate with the QC team for inspections and sign-offs and ensure punch list items related to erection are addressed and closed efficiently.
• Ability to read and accurately interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
• Coordination & Reporting:
• Liaise closely with the Project Manager, Site Engineers and other discipline supervisors (Civil, Mechanical, etc.) to ensure seamless workflow and conflict resolution.
• Manage and control the usage of erection equipment, such as cranes, forklifts and lifting gears.
• Maintain accurate daily progress reports, logbooks and records of work executed, resources utilized and site conditions.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Diploma/ITI/Degree in Civil, Mechanical or a related Engineering field is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven experience as an Erection Supervisor, Foreman or equivalent role in the Structural Steel / Contracting industry in the UAE or Gulf region.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Extensive knowledge of erection techniques, rigging procedures, heavy lifting plans and safety standards (e.g., OSHA, local regulations).
• Proficient in reading and interpreting P&IDs, Structural Drawings and general arrangement drawings.
• Core Competencies:
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a large crew.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, solve site-related problems quickly, and meet tight deadlines.
