The Junior Accounts Executive will support the Finance Department in maintaining accurate financial records, performing daily accounting operations, and assisting in month-end reporting and compliance tasks. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and motivated individual who is beginning their professional journey in accounting and eager to develop expertise in financial management within a growing organization. The candidate should possess a strong foundation in accounting principles, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

General Accounting Operations

  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping and daily financial transactions in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist in preparing journal entries, ledgers, and account reconciliations.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes by ensuring timely submission of financial data.
  • Prepare and organize supporting documents for internal and external audits.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Process invoices, expense claims, and supplier payments accurately and on time.
  • Track receivables, prepare aging reports, and follow up on outstanding amounts when required.
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow records.

Taxation & Compliance

  • Assist in preparing and filing VAT/GST returns, withholding taxes, and other statutory filings.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and financial regulations.
  • Support audit preparation and coordinate with auditors during review periods.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Assist in preparing management reports, financial summaries, and performance insights.
  • Conduct variance analysis and basic financial data interpretation to support decision making.
  • Maintain digital and physical records of all financial transactions and supporting documents.

Internal Coordination

  • Collaborate with procurement, HR, and operations departments to align financial data and documentation.
  • Support process improvements within the finance team to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive financial information.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (mandatory).
  • Post-graduate studies in finance or business administration are preferred.

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in general accounting, finance operations, or auditing.
  • Experience in manufacturing, trading, or construction industries mandatory.
  • Background in a chartered accountancy or internal accounting setup is an advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Tally, QuickBooks, or SAP.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and financial reporting templates).
  • Basic understanding of ERP systems and data management tools.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and numerical accuracy.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Dependable, proactive, and able to work under minimal supervision.

Knowledge

  • Familiarity with accounting standards, taxation (GST/VAT), and financial documentation practices.
  • Understanding compliance requirements in corporate or industrial environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR2,500.00 - QAR3,500.00 per month
