Job Title: Junior Accountant

Location: Malar Hospital, Hosur
Reporting To: Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

The Junior Accountant will assist in day-to-day financial operations of the hospital, including managing bills, recording transactions, preparing basic financial reports, handling petty cash, and supporting the senior accountant in audits and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record daily financial transactions such as cash, bank, and journal entries.
• Maintain accurate books of accounts using accounting software (e.g., Tally, Excel).
• Assist with billing and invoice processing (inpatient, outpatient, insurance claims).
• Maintain and update patient payment records and dues.
• Handle petty cash disbursement and maintain expense registers.
• Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assist in reconciliation of bank statements and vendor accounts.
• Maintain GST, TDS, PF/ESI deductions and related entries under supervision.
• Organize and file all financial documents properly for easy retrieval and audit readiness.
• Liaise with vendors and staff for invoice clarification and payment status.
• Provide support during internal and statutory audits.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or finance (healthcare experience is a plus).
• Working knowledge of accounting software like Tally ERP, MS Excel, etc.

• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to handle confidential data responsibly.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to hospital accounting processes.
