Junior Accountant

Job Overview:

Desert Rose Landscaping is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting principles, hands-on experience with day-to-day financial operations, and the ability to support accurate record-keeping and reporting for the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in daily accounting operations, including journal entries, ledger maintenance, and reconciliations.

Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.

Prepare and process invoices, expense reports, and payment vouchers.

Support monthly and annual closing activities.

Maintain proper documentation and filing of all financial records.

Assist in preparing financial statements, management reports, and budget tracking.

Coordinate with the finance team and auditors during audits.

Ensure compliance with accounting policies and company procedures.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.

Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in Oman.

Knowledge of Tally, QuickBooks, or other accounting software.

Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.

Proficiency in MS Excel and financial data management.

Attention to detail, accuracy, and good organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
