Junior Accountant

Position Overview

Brooks Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations. This role is responsible for processing routine accounting transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing administrative support to the accounting team. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable handling high volumes of transactional data, and committed to accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting a monthly reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Maintaining a system of controls over accounting transactions
  • Maintaining the petty cash fund
  • Maintaining the chart of accounts
  • Providing financial analyses as needed, and contract negotiations
  • Helping to assemble information for external auditors for the annual audit
  • Complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Generating 1099's
  • Providing clerical and administrative support to management as requested
  • Candidate must have experience with month & year end process

Qualifications

  • Cash reconciliation or cash processing experience, preferred
  • Must be detailed orientated and have good organizational skills
  • Comfortable with various computer programs
  • Previous experience with General Ledger and Accounts Payable / Receivable
  • Associate, Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Maintain and reconcile schedules to track intercompany activity, loans, equity, distributions, management fees, G&A, accruals

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
