Junior Art Director

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Art Director with strong conceptual skills and deep hands-on execution experience across print production, direct mail, digital, web, and video . This role sits within our creative team and reports to the Creative Director, supporting the development and delivery of high-impact, performance-driven creative for clients across regulated industries including insurance, banking, financial services, and healthcare.

The ideal candidate blends creative thinking with production discipline , understands how design supports outcomes, and can translate strategy, data, and messaging into clear, compelling visual solutions across channels. You will collaborate closely with copy, strategy, media, analytics, and production teams to ensure creative work is not only visually strong, but accurate, scalable, and executionally sound.


Responsibilities: Creative Development & Execution

  • Develop visual concepts and design systems for integrated campaigns spanning direct mail, print, digital display, social, web, and video .
  • Translate creative briefs and copy into effective visual executions that align with campaign objectives, audience insights, and brand guidelines.
  • Support creative ideation and brainstorming sessions, contributing thoughtful visual perspectives and executional ideas.
  • Execute creative from concept through final delivery, balancing strong design with performance and production requirements.

Print Production & Direct Mail

  • Lead hands-on design and production for print and direct mail , including letters, envelopes, inserts, brochures, and other physical formats.
  • Prepare press-ready files , ensuring accuracy across layout, typography, color, bleeds, trims, versioning, and printer specifications.
  • Manage production details such as personalization, variable data considerations, resizing, and mechanical setup.
  • Partner with internal production teams, vendors, and printers to ensure files meet technical requirements and timelines.

Digital, Web & Video Support

  • Design and adapt creative for digital channels including display, paid social, and web.
  • Support video and motion projects through storyboarding, layout design, and visual direction.
  • Ensure visual consistency and quality across static and motion assets.

Collaboration & Workflow

  • Work cross-functionally with copywriters, project managers, strategists, media, analytics, and data teams to ensure creative aligns with broader campaign goals.
  • Incorporate client, legal, and compliance feedback efficiently while maintaining creative integrity.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Take creative direction from the Creative Director while owning day-to-day execution responsibilities.

Quality Control & Brand Consistency

  • Review all creative deliverables for accuracy, craftsmanship, and adherence to brand and compliance standards.
  • Ensure all assets are error-free, consistent, and ready for release across channels.
  • Maintain organized files and documentation to support versioning and future reuse.

Qualifications: Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 4–6 years of experience as an Art Director, preferably in an agency or performance-marketing environment.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating:
    • Print and direct mail design
    • Production-ready execution
    • Digital and web creative
    • Video or motion support work
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Deep understanding of print production and direct mail workflows .
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in regulated industries such as insurance, banking, financial services, or healthcare.
  • Familiarity with variable data printing and versioned creative.
  • Experience supporting video or motion design workflows.
  • Working knowledge of digital performance creative and channel requirements.
  • Experience using project management tools such as Wrike, Monday.com, or similar platforms.
