Junior Backend Developer - Codeigniter

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Backend Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in PHP and hands-on experience with CodeIgniter 4, along with a solid understanding of backend development principles. This role is well-suited for individuals eager to grow their technical skills while contributing to scalable and efficient web applications in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance backend applications using PHP and CodeIgniter 4
• Design and manage databases using MySQL or other relational database systems
• Implement and maintain RESTful APIs following best practices
• Work within the MVC architecture to ensure clean and maintainable code
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Use Git for version control and collaborate effectively within the development team
• Write clean, well-documented, and reusable code

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of PHP with experience in CodeIgniter 4
• Familiarity with MySQL or similar relational databases
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Solid problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Understanding of MVC architecture and RESTful API design
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to work in an Agile development setup

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js, React, or Angular
• Basic understanding of application deployment processes
• Exposure to unit testing and test-driven development (TDD)
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments

Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs60,000.00 per month
