Position: Junior Barista

Starting Salary: From QAR 2,300 to QAR 2,800 (based on knowledge and skills) plus FREE shared accommodation, transportation, and 1 duty meal

Role Brief: We are seeking a passionate and presentable Junior Barista to join our cafe team in Qatar. This role is dedicated to the craft of coffee and guest experience; you will focus entirely on beverage quality and floor excellence without the distraction of handling transactions. The ideal candidate blends a technical foundation in espresso preparation with a refined professional demeanor, ensuring every guest receives a world-class specialty coffee experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Calibrate and pull espresso shots according to specific roast profiles, maintaining consistency in yield and extraction time throughout the shift.
• Froth milk to a silky micro-foam texture and execute clean, basic latte art (hearts, rosettas) to meet our aesthetic standards.
• Assist Senior Baristas in the "dialing-in" process every morning, adjusting grind sizes to account for humidity and temperature changes.
• Demonstrate a developing palate by describing flavor notes (acidity, body, sweetness) to guests and ensuring every drink meets the café's sensory benchmarks.
• Maintain a pristine, organized workstation; this includes frequent back-flushing of groups, cleaning steam wands immediately after use, and hopper maintenance.
• Act as a specialty coffee ambassador by educating staff and guests on bean origins, processing methods, and the story behind our current coffee rotation.
• Manage drink tickets effectively during peak hours, ensuring high-speed service without compromising the quality of the final pour.

Qualification

• Must possess a formal SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) Foundation Certification or have completed a recognized professional barista training program.
• Deep understanding of specialty coffee fundamentals, including the difference between Arabica varieties, processing methods (Washed, Natural, Honey), and roast levels.
• High standard of personal grooming and "front-of-house" etiquette, with the ability to communicate fluently in English within a high-end hospitality environment.

Pay: QAR2,300.00 - QAR2,800.00 per month
