Postion: Junior Barista

Starting Salary: SAR 2,000 to SAR 2,300 plus Food, Shared Accommodation, and Transportation

Location: Riyadh

Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic Junior Barista to prepare quality beverages and support bar operations at our prestigious luxury café in Riyadh. This developing role offers the opportunity to refine coffee craftsmanship, build beverage knowledge, and grow within a luxury hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistent quality, proper presentation, and timely service to guests.
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewing equipment, and other bar tools competently, following proper techniques for extraction, milk steaming, and beverage assembly under supervision and guidance.
• Maintain attention to detail in beverage presentation including latte art, garnishes, glassware selection, and serving standards that reflect the establishment's commitment to luxury service.
• Follow standard operating procedures for all beverage preparations, measuring ingredients accurately, adhering to recipes, and maintaining consistency in taste, temperature, and presentation across all orders.
• Monitor beverage quality throughout service, conducting taste checks, adjusting equipment settings as needed under supervision, and alerting senior baristas or supervisors to any quality concerns.
• Handle guest beverage orders efficiently during service periods, confirming requirements, accommodating modifications and dietary preferences, and ensuring accuracy before serving.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, beverage stations, and equipment throughout service, following hygiene standards, cleaning schedules, and ensuring a pristine workspace.
• Assist with bar mise en place before service including preparing syrups, garnishes, and ingredients, setting up stations, checking equipment functionality, and ensuring adequate supplies are available.
• Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, and consumables, informing supervisors of replenishment needs, and properly storing items to maintain freshness.
• Actively pursue coffee knowledge and skill development, learning from senior baristas, practicing techniques, understanding coffee origins and flavor profiles, and demonstrating commitment to professional growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of barista experience in cafés, coffee shops, or hospitality environments, with foundational knowledge of coffee preparation and genuine interest in specialty coffee and beverage service.
• Basic to good English communication skills required; Arabic language ability preferred for guest interaction and team collaboration in Riyadh's diverse hospitality environment.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure essential. Must demonstrate reliability, teamwork orientation, manual dexterity for equipment operation, and passion for coffee culture and guest service.

Pay: ﷼2,000.00 - ﷼2,300.00 per month
