We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Bid Writer to join our growing Security and Facilities Management team. This role supports the development, writing, and submission of high-quality proposals for security services, soft FM, and hard FM contracts. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach to gathering information from internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Bid Writing & Content Development
- Support the creation, drafting, and editing of bid responses for security and facilities management tenders.
- Write clear, compelling content that aligns with client specifications and evaluation criteria.
- Ensure consistency of tone, formatting, and messaging across all documents.
Bid Coordination
- Work closely with operational leads, subject matter experts, and business development managers to gather required information.
- Assist in maintaining bid libraries, templates, case studies, and standard responses.
- Proofread and format documents to ensure professional presentation.
Research & Analysis
- Conduct research on clients, competitors, and industry requirements to inform bid strategies.
- Analyse tender documents to identify key technical and commercial requirements.
- Support the creation of tender compliance matrices and submission checklists.
Administration & Support
- Assist in managing the bid timeline to ensure submissions are completed on time.
- Support the collection of supporting documents (e.g., policies, certificates, CVs).
- Maintain accurate records of bids submitted, outcomes, and feedback.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Strong written communication and grammar skills.
- High level of organisation and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proactive, eager to learn, and comfortable collaborating across teams.
Desirable
- Previous experience in bid writing, proposals, or a similar administrative/writing role.
- Understanding of the security and/or facilities management industry.
- Familiarity with public-sector procurement portals (e.g., ProContract, Delta, Atamis).
- Ability to interpret technical information into clear, concise written content.
