Job Title: Junior Upwork Bidder
Job Summary
The Junior Upwork Bidder is responsible for identifying relevant projects on Upwork, preparing high-quality proposals, and coordinating with the business development or project management team to secure new clients. This role focuses on supporting lead generation and building client relationships through effective communication and well-crafted bids.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Hunting & Lead Identification
- Search, filter, and identify suitable jobs on Upwork based on company services.
- Analyze project requirements to ensure alignment with team capabilities.
- Prioritize high-quality leads and track bidding activity.
2. Proposal Writing
- Write customized, persuasive, and error-free proposals for each job post.
- Use templates where appropriate while tailoring content to the client’s needs.
- Highlight company strengths, relevant experience, and portfolio items.
- Ensure proposals are submitted within optimal time windows.
3. Client Communication
- Respond to client messages swiftly and professionally.
- Gather client requirements and schedule meetings for senior staff when needed.
- Maintain a polite, friendly, and confident communication tone.
4. Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with designers, developers, or project managers to create accurate bid estimates.
- Maintain spreadsheets or CRM records of bids, follow-ups, and client interactions.
- Report daily/weekly bidding performance to the team lead.
5. Learning & Development
- Stay updated on Upwork best practices, proposal strategies, competition, and market trends.
- Improve bidding success rate by learning from feedback and past performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong command of English (written and verbal).
- Basic understanding of freelancing platforms, especially Upwork.
- Ability to read and understand technical or non-technical project requirements.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under deadlines.
- Familiarity with IT services / design / development (preferred but not mandatory).
- Basic knowledge of spreadsheets (Google Sheets or Excel).

Experience
- 0–1 year of experience in bidding or lead generation (freshers welcome).
