Junior Chef

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Chef specializing in pasta, continental/Asian cuisines to join our culinary team. The role involves preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, assisting senior chefs in daily kitchen operations, maintaining hygiene standards, and contributing to menu development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes with a focus on pasta, continental, and Asian cuisines.
  • Prepare ingredients (cutting, marinating, portioning) according to recipes and menu standards.
  • Cook a variety of pasta dishes, sauces, and Asian/continental specialties to meet customer expectations.
  • Follow recipes accurately while maintaining portion control and minimizing waste.
  • Assist in developing new dishes and improving existing recipes.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared and served promptly and meet quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation, kitchen tools, and equipment.
  • Adhere to all food hygiene, health, and safety standards.
  • Support senior chefs during busy hours and collaborate effectively with the team.
  • Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report shortages to the Head/Sous Chef.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Junior Chef, Commis Chef, or in a similar role with exposure to pasta, continental, and Asian cuisines.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Creativity and passion for delivering high-quality dishes.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,400.00 - AED1,700.00 per month
