Junior Draft and CAD Designer

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a full-time position open for immediate hire. We’re a team that thrives on curiosity, creativity, and flow – and we’re looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving through design, learning advanced CAD tools, and turning concepts into practical, workable solutions through drafting and 3D design. As a Junior Draft and CAD Designer, you’ll work on real-world projects both individually and in a team, developing technical drawings, models, and production-ready designs. Description of some of your daily responsibilities:

• Create detailed CAD drawings using software such as Fusion 360, DraftSight, or SolidWorks
• Assist with preparing technical documentation and design specifications
• Collaborate with project teams to gather requirements and translate them into accurate CAD files
• Revise drawings and models based on feedback or engineering updates
• Maintain organized files and documentation of all design work for easy retrieval and reference
• Stay curious—learn new drafting methods, design tools, and CAD best practices
• Work well both individually after instruction has been given and in team environments to complete projects well and on-time

COMPENSATION

• $34,000 to $39,000 annual salary, depending on experience
• Bonus potential based on performance
• Potential for rapid growth in the company provided to those without outstanding reliability and performance in their roles

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have professional email/written and oral communication skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Must be detail-oriented and have strong analytical skills
• Ability to receive feedback and take action when appropriate
• Strong enthusiasm and commitment
• Must be reliable and commit to a consistent schedule
• Basic knowledge of CAD drafting and 3D modeling concepts
• Experience with any of the following software: Fusion 360, DraftSight, or SolidWorks
• Coursework or hands-on projects related to drafting, product design, or engineering
• High school graduate or equivalent
• 40 hours a week minimum is required
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
