Junior Financial Analyst

Position Overview:

The candidate will be a key member of the finance team, responsible for various activities, keeping checks on the company's financial health. We’re primarily focusing on the candidate to manage the invoicing, developing and maintaining comprehensive payable trackers, assisting with financial modeling, managing QuickBooks, performing various financial analyses, and supporting with sales tax and compliance. The goal is to move our sales tax workings in-house. While receivables and budgeting are largely covered within the team, this role will require an all-rounder who can adapt and contribute where needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Management:

• Utilize QuickBooks for financial transactions, including recording invoices and payments.
• Aligning banking relations, including reconciliation of bank statements, balance inquiries, and cash flow management.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records within QuickBooks.
• Generate reports from QuickBooks as required.
• Assist with the chart of accounts maintenance.

Invoicing Management:

• Generate and distribute invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Ensure all invoice procedures adhere to company policy and relevant regulations.
• Address any invoicing discrepancies or partner inquiries.

Payable Tracking and Management:

• Develop, implement, and maintain detailed trackers for accounts payable, both on a company-wide level and potentially broken down by project or department.
• Monitor upcoming payment obligations and ensure timely processing of payments.
• Assist with vendor statement reconciliation.
• Analyze payable data to identify trends and potential cost savings.

Financial Modeling Assistance:

• Support the development and maintenance of financial models for forecasting, scenario planning, and decision support.
• Assist in gathering and organizing data inputs for financial models.
• Learn and apply financial modeling best practices.

Financial Analysis:

• Conduct various financial analyses to support business operations and identify areas for improvement.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to payables and expenses.
• Prepare reports and summaries of financial analysis findings for management.
• Support in analyzing financial performance against historical data.

Sales Tax Calculations and Compliance Support:

• Assist in the calculation of applicable sales tax on invoices based on relevant tax rates and regulations.
• Support the preparation of documentation for sales tax filings.
• Reconcile sales tax collected with recorded liabilities in QuickBooks.
• Assist in gathering information for potential sales tax audits.
• Stay informed about changes in sales tax regulations affecting the company.

General Finance Support:

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures as they relate to areas of responsibility.
• Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed.
• Maintain organized and accessible financial documentation.
• Contribute to improving finance processes and efficiency.

Candidate requirement;

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field
• Strong Analytical Skills, Financial Modeling, Understanding Financial Statements, Basic Accounting Principles, Understanding of Data Analysis Tools, I.e. SQL, Python, R, Tableau will be advantageous.
• Microsoft Excel Proficiency: familiarity with functions like XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, and ideally, some exposure to VBA.

Residents of DHA/Bahria/surrounding areas will be preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs60,000.00 per month
