Position Overview

A busy, full‑service boutique interior design studio in Monmouth County is seeking a Junior Interior Designer with strong technical skills, a polished presence, and the confidence to engage directly with clients. The studio’s work is primarily residential, with expanding more into the commercial division, offering exposure to a wide range of project types. Candidates with a strong interest in kitchen and bath design are especially encouraged to apply.

This role requires a balance of creativity, initiative, and organization, supporting multiple active projects in a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing design concepts, space plans, and presentation materials
• Produce accurate drawings and 3D models using CAD and SketchUp
• Support both residential and commercial design projects
• Participate in kitchen and bath design development, selections, and layouts
• Source furnishings, finishes, fixtures, and materials
• Prepare mood boards, specification documents, and project binders
• Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and contractors
• Attend site visits, installations, and client meetings
• Track project progress, manage timelines, and support project management tasks
• Take initiative in problem‑solving and contribute design ideas proactively

Required Qualifications

• 1–2 years of interior design experience
• Proficiency in CAD and SketchUp (required)
• Strong interest in kitchen and bath design
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Confident verbal and written communication skills
• Professional, business‑casual presentation
• Reliable transportation for local travel
