Job Description:
- Provide support in the creation of detailed and realistic project timelines using Primavera P6 or similar project scheduling tools.
- Assist in the development of a comprehensive Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) based on approved design documents and construction scope.
- Define detailed work plans and key milestones for each project phase in alignment with the overall project schedule.
- Continuously update schedules to reflect actual site progress, and prepare regular progress reports with insights on deviations and suggestions for corrective measures.
- Visit construction sites regularly to gather real-time progress data for schedule updates and forecasting.
- Track and review project performance to ensure activities are progressing as planned, and update schedules accordingly.
- Identify scheduling risks early and work with project teams to implement contingency strategies.
- Generate weekly/monthly progress reports, charts, and presentations for internal review and client updates.
- Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, and site execution teams to ensure seamless schedule integration.
- Analyze scheduling data to detect delays, bottlenecks, or productivity issues and recommend appropriate action plans.
- Assist in developing and maintaining baseline project schedules, clearly identifying critical paths, milestones, and float time.
- Assess the impact of changes in design, materials, manpower, or resources on the schedule and suggest adjustments.
- Help plan and allocate labor, machinery, and material resources effectively to meet project timelines.
- Track project expenses against planned budgets and raise early warnings for any potential overruns.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in planning and scheduling roles within the construction industry.
- Solid understanding of project scheduling concepts, critical path method (CPM), and construction workflows.
- Proficient in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and other project planning applications.
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities, with an eye for detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective coordination and reporting.
- Capable of working under pressure and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with site activities, construction sequencing, and project execution methodologies.
