Job Summary:

Our client a leading automotive manufacturer is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior SAP Basis Administrator to join their IT team. This role involves supporting, maintaining, and optimising the SAP landscape to ensure seamless business operations. The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge of SAP Basis and a strong desire to learn and grow in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support installation, configuration, and management of SAP ECC and S4 HANA environments.
• Monitor system performance, up-time, and overall health.
• Assist in creating and managing users, roles, and authorisations.
• Provide support for user access and security requests.
• Support system refreshes, client copies, and landscape optimisation.
• Troubleshoot and optimise application, database, and hardware performance issues.
• Perform database backups, restores, and system recovery tasks.
• Assist in database maintenance tasks, including performance tuning and monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents, service requests, and technical issues.
• Provide support for SAP transports and troubleshooting system errors.
• Maintain documentation for SAP system configurations, procedures, and changes.
• Generate system health and performance reports as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of SAP architecture and core components.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
