About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Junior SEO Consultant with approximately 2 years of hands-on SEO experience to join our growing team. The selected candidate will support SEO campaigns, enhance organic rankings, conduct keyword research, optimise website content, and assist in developing strong SEO strategies for clients across multiple industries.
This role is ideal for someone who has a solid understanding of SEO fundamentals and is eager to grow into a senior role with greater responsibility and client interaction.
Key ResponsibilitiesOn-Page SEO
- Perform keyword research and mapping using tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Keyword Planner, etc.
- Optimise meta titles, descriptions, headers, URLs, internal links, and content structure.
- Conduct on-page SEO audits and implement recommendations.
- Improve website content following SEO best practices.
Technical SEO
- Conduct technical audits to identify issues such as crawl errors, indexing problems, site speed, mobile optimisation, and schema markup.
- Collaborate with developers to implement technical fixes.
- Monitor and improve Core Web Vitals performance.
Off-Page SEO
- Assist in link-building strategies (guest posts, citations, PR links, outreach).
- Create and manage backlinks while maintaining quality and relevance.
Content Optimization
- Prepare content briefs for writers.
- Optimize existing blog posts and service pages.
- Suggest new content topics based on trending keywords and client objectives.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly SEO reports.
- Track ranking improvements, traffic growth, and conversions.
- Use tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO platforms.
Client Communication
- Support senior consultants in client meetings.
- Provide updates, insights, and recommendations clearly and professionally.
Required Skills
- 2 years of SEO experience (agency or in-house).
- Strong understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.
- Experience working with WordPress or similar CMS platforms.
- Good knowledge of GA, GSC, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs/SEMrush.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Bonus (Preferred but Not Required)
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge.
- Local SEO experience (citations, GBP optimisation, location pages).
- Experience in content writing or brief creation.
- Understanding of CRO (Conversion Rate Optimisation).
- Knowledge of schema markup.
