SEO Expert

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly adaptable SEO Expert to work on an ad-hoc basis with our UK-based client. This role requires someone who is confident working in a fast-paced environment, can handle complex SEO challenges, and stays ahead of the curve with the latest industry and AI-driven trends. You should be able to take ownership of tasks and deliver results efficiently .

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive keyword and intent-based research, including AI-assisted keyword clustering and competitive analysis.
• Optimise on-page elements such as metadata, headings, internal linking, images, schema markup, and overall site architecture.
• Develop and execute ethical, modern link-building strategies that align with current search engine guidelines.
• Monitor and evaluate performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and other advanced SEO platforms.
• Analyse ranking fluctuations, identify technical issues, and provide clear, data-driven solutions for improvements.
• Stay up-to-date with Google algorithm changes, evolving ranking factors, E-E-A-T guidelines, and the latest SEO practices.
• Understand how AI-generated content is evaluated by search engines and implement strategies to ensure AI content remains high-quality, compliant, and rank-worthy.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and content teams to ensure SEO is fully integrated across all digital channels.
• Produce clear, concise performance reports and recommendations for continual growth.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an SEO Expert/Specialist with a strong track record of increasing organic traffic and improving rankings.
• Up-to-date knowledge of AI in SEO, including AI content detection challenges, optimisation strategies, prompt-driven content planning, and modern ranking considerations.
• Strong understanding of technical SEO, including crawlability, indexing, site speed, Core Web Vitals, JavaScript rendering, and structured data.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex SEO issues quickly and independently.
• Excellent command of English with strong communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• A high level of attention to detail and the ability to follow established processes.
• Must have an extensive portfolio of successful SEO projects, case studies, results, or examples of past work.

Education & Experience

• Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on SEO experience.
• Experience working remotely or on an ad-hoc basis is beneficial.
