About the role
The Key Accounts Manager is responsible for driving sustainable growth and profitability across key B2B customers in the Bakery, Dairy, Beverage, Meat, and other relevant categories. The role focuses on selling functional ingredients, flavours, and powder seasonings, ensuring customer satisfaction, and delivering value through technical and commercial excellence.

Work Location: Cairo, Egypt (with regional travel as required)
Reporting To: Commercial Director, Egypt
Key responsibilities
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic B2B accounts across multiple food categories.
  • Identify customer needs and propose tailored ingredient and flavour solutions.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, pricing, and contract management.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, and Supply Chain to deliver innovation and service excellence.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop and execute account plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and demand planning in coordination with internal teams.
  • Drive cross-functional project management for new product development and launches.


Key Interfaces:
Internal:
R&D / Applications, Supply Chain & Operations, Finance & Pricing, Marketing & Category Teams and Regulatory Affairs.

External:
Procurement, R&D, and Technical teams at customer side and Distributors and channel partners (if applicable).
Qualifications and skills
  • Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Preferably 5+ years of experience in B2B food ingredients or flavours sales.
  • Strong knowledge of Bakery, Dairy, Beverage, or Meat processing industries.
  • Proven track record in key account management and solution selling.
  • Experience working in a matrix, multinational environment is a plus.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Technical understanding of food ingredients and applications.
  • Customer-centric mindset with excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Project management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic (written and spoken).

KPIs / Success Metrics:
  • Revenue and margin growth on key accounts.
  • Customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Pipeline development and conversion rate.
  • Forecast accuracy and delivery performance.
  • New product launches and project success rate.
