Position Overview
The Kids’ Area Manager will oversee Blaura’s children’s play and learning zones , spaces designed to nurture creativity, confidence, and emotional awareness through play-based, sensory, and mindful activities.
The ideal candidate will have a background in early childhood development, psychology, or education, along with hands-on experience in creating engaging, age-appropriate programs. They must be warm, structured, and highly responsible, ensuring every child’s safety and experience align with Blaura’s values of balance, learning, and joy.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily operations of Blaura’s kids’ play and learning zones.
- Develop and oversee structured sensory, creative, and emotional development activities aligned with Blaura’s philosophy.
- Design programs incorporating modern methods such as BLW (Baby-Led Weaning), emotional intelligence training, Montessori, and sensory play.
- Create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for children of various age groups.
- Recruit, train, and supervise Kids’ Area staff and play facilitators.
- Ensure staff follow correct child-safety, hygiene, and emotional support protocols.
- Engage with parents and guardians, ensuring clear communication and trust.
- Adapt activities to meet the developmental needs and emotional states of each child.
- Maintain attendance records, health logs, and emergency procedures.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure smooth coordination with the rest of the center.
- Support workshops or family-focused events within the Kids’ Area.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Child Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in child behavior, play therapy, or sensory development are highly preferred.
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience managing or teaching in nurseries, early learning centers, or family wellness environments.
- Strong understanding of emotional awareness, sensory play, and developmental methods.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to connect with both children and parents.
- Deep sense of empathy, patience, and responsibility.
- Certified in First Aid and Child Safety (or willing to obtain upon hiring).
- Fluent in English; other languages are an advantage.
