Kindergarten Teacher

Job Summary

The Kindergarten Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment that supports the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of young children. The teacher plans and delivers age-appropriate lessons that foster curiosity, creativity, and foundational academic skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with the school curriculum
• Teach basic literacy, numeracy, social skills, and motor skills through play-based and structured activities
• Create a warm, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
• Observe, assess, and document student progress and development
• Encourage positive behaviour, cooperation, and respect among students
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and needs
• Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and administrators
• Maintain classroom materials, displays, and learning centres
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all students
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with NTT.
• Teaching certification. (as required by local regulations)
• Knowledge of child development and early learning principles.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children.
• Previous experience teaching kindergarten or early childhood classes.
• Familiarity with play-based or inquiry-based learning approaches.
