We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lab Equipment Technician to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment in a university, hospital, or technical facility. The ideal candidate will ensure all lab instruments are functional, calibrated, and meet safety and quality standards, supporting smooth operations and accurate results.
Key Requirements:
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment efficiently.
- Perform regular calibration, testing, and preventive maintenance of lab instruments.
- Diagnose and repair technical faults in laboratory equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in laboratory operations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inventory of equipment.
- Coordinate with vendors and technical teams for equipment servicing and installation.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Minimum 2-year Technical Certificate in Electronics, Instrumentation, or Bio-Medical, OR 3-year full-time Diploma in Electronics/Instrumentation from a recognized university or technical institute.
- 5 – 7 years of experience operating and maintaining lab equipment in universities, hospitals, or similar environments.
- Experience with facility management or construction services organizations is preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of lab instruments and electronic/electromechanical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex lab equipment.
- Good record-keeping and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and in coordination with a technical team.
- English language proficiency for documentation and communication.
- Must be locally available in Qatar with a valid QID and visa.
