Job Title: Lab Incharge
Hospital Name: Unittas Multispeciality Hospitals
Location: OMR & Tambaram, Chennai
Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹40,000 per month (based on experience)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lab Incharge to oversee the operations of our hospital laboratory. The ideal candidate will ensure the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and compliance in all diagnostic procedures while managing the lab team effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Should have experience in Biochemistry, Hematology, Clinical Pathology, Microbiology, Serology, Histopathology, and Immunoassay.
• Must be well-versed in NABH standards and familiar with NABL protocols.
• Knowledge of automated analyzers & immunoassay systems (ELISA, CLIA, FIA, etc.).
• Minimum 5–8 years of lab experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, quality control, and documentation skills.Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations, ensuring timely and accurate test results.
• Supervise and guide lab technicians, phlebotomists, and other lab staff.
• Maintain quality control, safety standards, and compliance with NABL/ISO protocols.
• Review and verify test reports before release.
• Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
• Manage inventory of reagents, consumables, and lab supplies.
• Implement SOPs and ensure adherence to infection control practices.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other departments for efficient workflow.
• Prepare and submit periodic reports to hospital management.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (B.Sc MLT / M.Sc MLT) or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, with at least 1 years in a supervisory/lead role.
• Strong knowledge of biochemistry, microbiology, hematology, and pathology procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with NABH/ISO accreditation processes will be an added advantage.
