We are now seeking an exceptional Land Surveyor to join our team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma/Associate Degree in Land Surveying or equivalent.
  • Minimum 03-04 years of experience.
  • Good Knowledge and experience in using survey Instruments such as total station, Level machine, theodolite.
  • Proficient knowledge of software such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD is mandatory.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Perform land/field surveys and geodetic calculations.
  • Knowledge of relevant survey procedures, construction techniques, codes and standards.
  • Interface with client and contractors to determine and verify project survey requirements.
  • Fully conversant with current survey technology and survey equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience and capability to co-ordinate with related infrastructure disciplines to ensure effective interface of all aspects of the works.
  • Sufficient safety awareness to identify and assess potential hazards and unsafe working practices and initiative to take the necessary preventative actions in accordance with a particular situation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written communication.
  • Complete the surveying requirements on schedule and within man-hour.
  • Check setting-out and levels. Check services locations and ensure their protection.
  • Prepare sketches to support the field work. Maintain all the survey information (field books, sketches and calculations).
  • Assist concerned Engineer in verification and checking of shop drawings
  • Verification & routine checks of control points and benchmarks
  • Verification of setting out of works
  • Recording of initial and final levels of works
  • Verification of earthwork cross sections
  • Take measurement of works inspected.
  • Assist in the preparation of ‘as-built’ drawings. Review of ‘as-built’ record drawings.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
