Land Surveyor

To carry out land and site surveying works accurately for construction activities, ensuring all setting out, levels, dimensions, and coordinates are in line with approved drawings, project requirements, and site conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site surveys to establish reference points, levels, boundaries, and dimensions before and during construction.
  • Perform setting out works for structural, civil, architectural, and infrastructure elements as per approved drawings.
  • Verify coordinates, elevations, grid lines, and benchmarks to ensure accuracy of site execution.
  • Assist project and site engineers in interpreting survey data and translating drawings into actual site layout.
  • Check line and level of completed works to confirm compliance with project requirements.
  • Monitor and record any site discrepancies, level differences, or alignment issues and report them to the project team.
  • Prepare survey reports, measurement records, and as-built data for submission and project documentation.
  • Coordinate with consultants, site engineers, subcontractors, and construction teams on survey-related requirements.
  • Ensure survey instruments such as total station, auto level, GPS, and related equipment are properly handled, calibrated, and maintained.
  • Support quantity verification and measurement activities wherever required at site.
  • Conduct re-surveys and verification checks before concrete works, structural works, and finishing works.
  • Assist in preparing as-built drawings based on completed site conditions and actual measurements.
  • Ensure all survey works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain proper records of control points, benchmarks, coordinates, and survey calculations.
  • Provide technical support to the site team in resolving layout and dimensional issues during execution.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or related field.
  • Minimum [3] years of experience as a Land Surveyor in construction or contracting companies.
  • Proficient in using Total Station, Auto Level, GPS, and other surveying instruments.
  • Good understanding of construction drawings, coordinates, levels, and site layout works.
  • Familiarity with civil, structural, and infrastructure survey requirements.
  • Knowledge of survey software and AutoCAD is an advantage.
