Job Summary
The Land Surveyor is responsible for carrying out accurate land and construction surveys for building projects. The role involves setting out, level control, measurement, and verification of construction works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct topographic, boundary, and construction surveys for building projects.
- Perform setting out for foundations, columns, grid lines, elevations, and structural elements as per approved drawings.
- Establish and maintain benchmarks, control points, and reference points on site.
- Verify line, level, and alignment during all stages of construction.
- Take accurate site measurements and prepare as-built drawings.
- Monitor and record deviations and report discrepancies to the site engineer or project manager.
- Maintain survey records, reports, and field notes.
- Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure correct implementation of drawings.
- Assist engineers with layout verification prior to inspections and concrete works.
- Support QA/QC and consultant inspections related to surveying activities.
- Operate and maintain surveying equipment such as Total Station, Auto Level, GPS, and related tools.
- Ensure proper calibration and safe handling of surveying instruments.
- Comply with site safety rules, procedures, and HSE requirements.

Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3–7 years of experience as a Land Surveyor in building construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings and surveying principles.
