Duties

• Perform lawn care activities including mowing, edging, and aerating to maintain healthy turf.
• Conduct landscape maintenance tasks such as pruning trees and shrubs, planting flowers, and mulching beds.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for trimming, edging, and general landscaping work.
• Use equipment like excavators and other construction machinery to assist with site preparation and hardscape installation.
• Execute snow plowing during winter months to keep driveways and walkways clear and safe.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain landscaping equipment and power tools.
• Extensive experience in lawn care practices such as mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and pest control.
• Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques including pruning, planting, mulching, and soil management.
• Familiarity with hardscape construction such as stonework or paver installation for patios and walkways.
• Ability to operate hand tools (shovels, rakes) as well as machinery like excavators or snow plows safely.
• Understanding of horticulture principles to promote plant health and landscape aesthetics.
• Experience with irrigation systems installation and repair to ensure efficient water use.
• Basic tree care skills including trimming techniques for safety and growth enhancement.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance on landscaping equipment to ensure longevity and performance.
