The incumbent supports landscape design and planning for current and long-range initiatives under the direction of the Landscape Manager. Responsibilities include reviewing landscape plans for new development, advising the public on requirements, and assisting with construction oversight and inspections. The role also prepares plans, reports, and related documents, coordinates projects with internal teams and consultants, and collaborates across Community Development while supporting landscape initiatives for Parks and Recreation, Library, and Open Space and Trails.
Assist in reviewing and analyzing development applications and provide both formal and informal feedback on landscape and open space designs to ensure compliance with applicable codes, plans, and Wildfire Urban Interface requirements.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or related field from an accredited college or university - required
Experience
Years of related experience may be substituted for required education, however education cannot be substituted for the necessary work experience. Candidates must meet the minimum required years of work experience.
