Landscape Designer

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Landscape Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of design principles and experience with native Texas plants.

This role involves direct engagement with clients, with the support of the Design team manager, so organization and communication skills are also important. We look forward to learning more about your specific strength. and experience.

Responsibilities

• Shadow design manager on site visits for new landscape projects.
• Take thorough notes, photos and measurements at site visits.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
• Create garden "lookbooks" as a sales tool.
• Research native plants and design solutions based on site conditions.
• Complete landscape design plans and renderings
• Create plant keys and measurement files for clients and installation team.
• Maintain client files and calendar.
• 1-2 nursery shifts per week to learn about native plants.

Skills

• Proficiency in design software, SketchUp preferred.
• Proficiency in Canva and Google Suite.
• Experience collecting measurements and interpreting topographical data.
• Native plant knowledge is a plus.
• A keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
• Customer service, retail sales, or similar experience.

• Weekends on occasion, to help the nursery team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
