Landscape Designer

Primary Responsibilities

This position will work closely with the current planning, survey, engineering and landscape staff on assigned development related projects. They will be responsible in assisting with project coordination, plan development and project approval activities on all assigned projects.

  • Under the direct supervision of the Landscape Architect Department Manager, prepare detailed site plans, planting plans, irrigation plans, and specialty exhibits on a broad range of development related projects.
  • Regular and effective communication and contact with the Manager and internal staff.
  • Assist in the marketing of KM’s landscape services.
  • Inspect landscape projects and ensure they adhere to plans.

***We are open to hiring either a recent college graduate for a full-time position or a current student seeking an internship. Responsibilities and scope may be adjusted based on experience and academic status.


Job Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in landscape architecture from an accredited university.
  • 1-2 Years landscape design experience.
  • Proficiency or Knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite Adobe Photoshop, Sketch Up and Lumion.
  • Excellent knowledge of local plant materials.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Self-motivated and able to work as part of a team and/or independently.
