Landscape Inspector

Qatar

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Landscape Inspector to join our team!

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Conduct regular site inspections to verify the quality of landscape construction materials, landscape works, and workmanship, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.

• Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, site conditions, and any deviations from the approved plans.

• Prepare detailed inspection reports and submit them to the project manager. Maintain records of periodical test reports for sweet soil and planting soil mix.

• Ensure that landscape construction activities follow safety regulations and adhere to occupational health and safety standards.

• Manage QA/QC documentation for the entire project, including certificates, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports, site instructions/observations, permanent materials delivered, and other critical QA/QC documents.

• Identify discrepancies between plans and actual construction activities and collaborate with various disciplines through effective communication and teamwork to address these issues.
  

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 10 years of post-graduate experience in landscape construction field/inspection.

• MME certification is mandatory.

• Extensive knowledge of QA/QC management practices, processes, and current technology.

• Proficiency in the use of computers and software packages related to QA/QC.

• Strong knowledge of Horticulture/Agriculture principles and practices, agricultural construction materials, international/local standards, QCS standards, and safety standards.

• Familiarity with inspection tools and equipment.

• Proven experience in directing and implementing quality management systems and standards specified by QCS, ISO, ASME, ANSI, ASTM, and similar organizations.

• Good written and oral communication skills.

• Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
  

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

• Experience with landscape construction projects in Qatar or the GCC region, with a strong understanding of local standards and regulations.

• Familiarity with modern technologies and innovations in landscape construction, including sustainable practices and green building methods.

• Knowledge of advanced soil science and the ability to assess soil health and its suitability for landscaping.

• Experience in managing a team or coordinating with other project teams, including contractors and subcontractors.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, particularly in identifying and resolving quality-related issues on-site.

• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work under tight deadlines.

• Knowledge of environmental regulations and practices related to landscaping and construction.
