Duties

• Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, pruning, and planting to ensure healthy and attractive outdoor spaces
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks including digging, trimming, and installing landscape features
• Support excavation activities using equipment like excavators for planting beds or drainage systems
• Perform lawn care duties including aeration, fertilization, and weed control to promote lush turf growth
• Maintain irrigation systems by installing, repairing, or adjusting sprinklers and hoses for optimal watering efficiency
• Support tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, or planting to ensure safety and aesthetic appeal
• Help with hardscape projects involving stonework or paver installation to create durable walkways or patios

Skills

• Mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot landscaping equipment and power tools effectively
• Experience with lawn care techniques including mowing, fertilizing, and weed control
• Strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices for gardens, trees, and turf health
• Familiarity with landscaping principles and construction methods for hardscape installations
• Ability to use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and saws safely and efficiently
• Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and repair techniques
• Basic horticulture skills for plant selection, planting procedures, and garden maintenance
• Experience with snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear
• Ability to perform tree trimming and pruning safely using appropriate tools and techniques
