Responsibilities

• Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, and pruning to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks such as edging, digging, planting, and installing hardscape features
• Support landscape installation projects by preparing sites, laying sod or turf, installing irrigation systems, and setting up hardscape elements like patios or walkways
• Perform lawn care activities including aeration, fertilization, weed control, and snow plowing during appropriate seasons
• Maintain equipment such as excavators and other construction machinery through routine inspections and basic repairs
• Contribute to tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and planting to promote healthy growth and safety
• Follow safety protocols consistently while working with landscaping materials, tools, and machinery to ensure a secure work environment

Experience

• Prior experience or familiarity with landscaping or gardening tasks is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is highly valued
• Mechanical knowledge or experience operating construction equipment like excavators is a plus
• Basic understanding of horticulture principles and lawn care techniques enhances your ability to succeed in this role
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems or snow plowing will be advantageous
• Strong work ethic with the ability to follow instructions carefully and work efficiently in outdoor conditions
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions
