Summary

We are looking to hire a motivated and experienced Landscape Maintenance Foreman to supervise and manage a number of groundskeeping crews .

The Landscape Maintenance Foreman's responsibilities include maintaining existing grounds, monitoring and training workers, supervising the use of equipment, ensuring staff observe safety guidelines and protocols, and be able to both follow and provide instructions. A top-notch Landscape Maintenance Foreman should possess horticulture knowledge, be a keen problem-solver, and possess remarkable communication skills.

Key Landscape Maintenance Foreman Responsibilities:

• Lead and direct the crews and provide instructions to ensure efficient work, while monitoring their progress to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
• Delegating tasks and overseeing the use of tools and equipment. Skilled in operating various landscaping equipment and hand tools.
• Overseeing and training new crew members.
• Supervise landscape maintenance duties, including mowing, weeding, pruning, planting, mulching, and applying fertilizers.
• Ensuring all crew members follow health and safety regulations at all times.
• Completing inventory checks and equipment inspections.
• Scheduling training sessions wherever required.

Landscape Maintenance Foreman Requirements:

• High school diploma (degree in horticulture recommended).
• On-the-job training as a Landscape Maintenance Foreman.
• Ability to provide clear written and verbal instructions.
• 3 - 5+ years of experience in Landscaping Maintenance or a related field.
• Strong understanding of plant types, soil, irrigation, pest management, and fertilization.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Salary to be determined by experience.
