LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE FOREMAN JOB DESCRIPTION

PRINCIPLE FUNCTION OF MAINTENANCE FOREMAN:

To perform maintenance tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Oversee and work along side crew members to ensure quality groundskeeping

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform scheduled maintenance as directed by Maintenance Manager

Notifies Maintenance Manager of shortages of materials to complete job

Operate at all times in the safest possible manner

Insures company policies are maintained and enforced

Produce the highest quality work in the most efficient manner possible

Performs and directs mowing, fertilization, pruning, cleaning, and other maintenance duties in as skilled a manner as possible.

Reports accurately assigned tasks as completed to Maintenance Manager by completion of a daily work report

Maintain equipment in the best operating condition

QUALITIES REQUIRED:

MUST HAVE VALID NC DRIVERS LICENSE AND EXPERIENCE DRIVING A BOX TRUCK

Shows leadership, dedication, and high level of pride in work produced

Accepts direction, constructive criticism and suggestions

Communicates well with other crew members and other employees

Exercises judgment when making decisions

Aspires to achieve good maintenance knowledge of horticultural practices

Professional and neat appearance

Operates as a team player

SCOPE:

MAINTENANCE FOREMAN reports directly to the Maintenance Manager taking direction and completing assigned tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Has experience in Groundskeeping and leadership. Pesticide, landscape and or irrigation license a plus.

WAGE:

$20 / hour

TRAINING PERIOD:

90 days
