Job Title: Landscaper (Installation and Maintenance)

Location: Various residential and commercial job sites (Erie and surrounding area)

Position Summary

The Landscaper is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and enhancement of outdoor spaces for residential and commercial properties. This role involves physical labor, equipment operation, plant care, and attention to detail to ensure properties are safe, functional, and visually appealing. A strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions are essential — including those “character-building” summer afternoons.

Key Responsibilities

• Install plants, shrubs, trees, sod, mulch, and other landscape materials
• Prune trees and shrubs to maintain plant health and appearance
• Operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other power tools
• Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment to job sites
• Follow landscape designs and supervisor instructions accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites and equipment
• Independently lift and carry materials weighing up to 75 lbs., Heavier lifting takes place with the use of assistive devices or team lifting
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Downtime can include helping out at the greenhouse

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous landscaping, construction, or grounds keeping experience preferred, applicants willing to learn will be considered
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks
• Basic knowledge of plants, tools, and landscaping techniques
• Valid driver’s license required

Work Environment

This position requires working outdoors in heat, cold, wind, and light rain. The role involves standing, bending, lifting, digging, and operating equipment for extended periods. Expect early mornings, fresh air, and the occasional curious homeowner asking, “Can you just trim this one tiny thing?” (It is never just one tiny thing.)

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
