Large Format Print Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Large Format Print Specialist to join our innovative printing team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality large-scale prints that meet client specifications and quality standards. Your expertise will ensure that every project is executed with precision, creativity, and efficiency, contributing to our reputation for excellence in print advertising and visual communication. Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain large format printers, including UV, and Epson printers, ensuring optimal performance and print quality.
  • Prepare digital files using graphic design software, ensuring proper layout, color management, and resolution for large-scale printing projects.
  • Conduct prepress checks to verify file integrity, color accuracy, and print readiness before production.
  • Manage color calibration and color matching processes to ensure consistency across all printed materials.
  • Perform quality control inspections throughout the printing process to detect defects or inconsistencies and make necessary adjustments.
  • Set up and troubleshoot printing equipment, including CNC machines and flexo presses when applicable, to optimize output efficiency.
  • Collaborate with clients and design teams to interpret project specifications, providing guidance on print capabilities and material selection.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to manufacturing safety standards and operating forklifts or other machinery as required.
  • Mount to various substrates
  • Laminate wall graphic panels
  • Work on Versaworks 7 RIP system

Skills

  • Proficiency in prepress workflows for large format applications.
  • Strong knowledge of color management principles to achieve accurate color reproduction.
  • Experience in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Experience with layout design, typography, and print advertising production.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes related to large-scale printing equipment
  • Ability to perform machining tasks related to print media preparation or equipment maintenance.
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures to ensure finished products meet high standards of excellence.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $59,000.00 per year
