Last Mile Optimization Sr. Specialist

Operational Efficiency:

  • Improve operational cost through high fleet utilization and reduced waste.
  • Conduct testing to optimize shift structures, scheduling models, and operational strategies.


Fleet Capacity Planning:

  • Evaluate fleet capacity against order volumes and provide recommendations to scale or reallocate resources effectively.
  • Identify capacity gaps and support planning initiatives to ensure delivery reliability.


Simulation and Forecasting:

  • Build simulation models in coordination with HS Logistics and Global Teams to predict the impact of potential changes in the Last Mile operations.
  • Translate simulations into actionable strategies for real-world implementation.


Delivery Optimization:

  • Analyze delivery patterns, rider behavior, and route performance to identify inefficiencies.
  • Design optimized delivery zones and dispatch logic to reduce delivery time and improve rider performance


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with regional teams, operations, and the Control Tower to align optimization initiatives with field realities.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives that improve operational KPIs.


Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Utilize data tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI) to generate actionable reports and dashboards.
  • Present insights clearly and support strategic decision-making with evidence-based recommendations.


Quality & Compliance Support:

  • Ensure optimization initiatives meet internal quality and compliance standards.
  • Support resilience planning through contingency simulations and scenario testing.


Continuous Improvement:

  • Follow all relevant policies, procedures, and processes for the daily work to be carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices to enhance effectiveness.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • 2–4 years of experience working with TMS or logistics tech platform.
  • Strong understanding of last mile delivery workflows
  • Experience in tech support, user training, or digital transformation preferred
  • Skilled in Excel, dashboarding tools, and system admin functions
  • Problem-solving mindset and excellent communication skills


Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
