Laundry Attendant

Duties

• Operate laundry machines efficiently to wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and guest clothing according to established procedures.
• Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements to ensure optimal results.
• Handle delicate or special items with care, including dry cleaning when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly cleaning machines, work surfaces, and storage spaces.
• Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies such as detergents, fabric softeners, and cleaning agents, and notify management when supplies need replenishing.
• Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries in the laundry area.
• Assist with other housekeeping duties as needed to support overall hotel cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Experience

• Prior experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
• Knowledge of laundry equipment operation and maintenance is a plus.
• Familiarity with cleaning techniques, including dry cleaning processes, enhances effectiveness in this role.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
