Duties

• Mow lawns using power mowers and hand tools to achieve precise, even grass coverage.
• Trim trees, shrubs, and hedges with pruning shears, trimmers, or chainsaws to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.
• Maintain landscapes by planting flowers, shrubs, and other greenery while ensuring proper irrigation systems are functioning effectively.
• Operate landscaping equipment such as excavators and hardscape tools to install or repair pathways, patios, or retaining walls.
• Perform seasonal snow plowing to keep pathways safe during winter months.
• Conduct routine maintenance on lawn care machinery and hand tools to ensure optimal performance.
• Assist with tree care including trimming, removal, or planting to support healthy urban forestry.
• Support construction projects related to landscape installation or renovation with knowledge of horticulture and land preparation.

Qualifications

• Mechanical knowledge related to operating power tools, lawn equipment, and landscaping machinery such as excavators.
• Experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, or related outdoor work environments.
• Familiarity with landscaping techniques including hardscape installation and horticulture practices.
• Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively for various tasks like trimming, digging, or planting.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems and tree care practices is preferred.
• Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, walk, lift heavy objects, and perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.
